About

Hello and Welcome to EEmaginations!

If you couldn’t already tell, the EE in EEmaginations stands for Electrical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering is what this website is all about!

Before we dive into the contents of this site, let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is David. I am an Electrical Engineer (PE), engineering hobbyist, student, family man, and owner and founder of EEmaginations! I am originally from the Tampa Bay area, but I now call Melbourne’s beachside area on Florida’s east coast my home.

Unusual to most, I truly enjoyed, edit, I truly enjoy being a student. To name a few things that bring me satisfaction, I enjoy solving proofs, working out long math/engineering problems, learning technical concepts, troubleshooting and learning how to use different equipment, analyzing data, scripting/coding, integrating hardware and software, and making different systems work together. I genuinely gain a sense of fulfillment from doing activities like these, and get even more fulfillment from being able to simplify, document, and teach these things to others. I am a firm believer that you reinforce your own knowledge by teaching others, and this is one of the reasons why I decided to build EEmaginations. Check out the Resources and Projects/Tools sections of the site for items related to these passions of mine, and please contact me, by filling out the form below, if you would like for me to develop a particular item. BTW, I also enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, watching movies, working on puzzles, amongst other non-engineering related activities!

Another reason for developing EEmaginations was to create a space for sharing some of my personal and professional experiences before, during, and after attending college. Mentoring is another passion of mine, and I have been guided and coached by the best. A great leader, mentor, and friend of mine once told me that the best managers are the ones that seek management opportunities not solely for their own growth, but primarily for the growth/development of those they are managing. This is one of the main reasons that it takes many years to develop management skills, and why many are not cut out to become managers. One has to be mentally, emotionally, and even financially prepared to meet this requirement. This is also a reason why management positions are usually positioned at a much higher level within companies. In any case, I took my friend’s words to heart, and think about them in my interactions with my own managers and also in my interactions with those that I manage, which include interns, new grads, senior engineers, and even my children. In the Resources and Professional Development sections of this site, you will find articles to guide you through your personal and professional journeys. Again, please contact me (form below) for specific guidance and mentoring, or even just for general inquiry.

Lastly, I am developing this site to offer my expertise to meet your engineering goals. I offer a wide variety of services ranging from EE tutoring to PE license review and sign-off. Check out the Engineering Services section of this site for a list of core competencies, and please contact me through the submission form, if you are interested in having custom work done for you.

Thank you for visiting my website. To learn more about how I can help you, please contact me.
