Taxes
2020
In 2020, withholding allowances are not longer used in calculating your total tax contribution; however, this only applies if you started your current job in 2020, and if you submitted a 2020 IRS W-4 form, or if you started your current job prior to 2020, but were asked to fill out a 2020 IRS W-4 tax form. Otherwise, if you started your job prior to 2020, and did not fill out a 2020 IRS W-4 tax form, you are grandfathered into the pre-2020 method of withholding taxes, which utilizes withholding allowances for calculating your total tax contribution, but has 2020 tax withholding figures.
